Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore Melle Van Duijn capped the end of the 2018 regular season by being named the American Southwest Conference East Division Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (April 24).

Van Duijn, a native of New Zealand, went undefeated to help the Eagles go 2-0 over the weekend. Playing the No. 1 singles position, Van Duijn topped East Texas Baptist 6-0, 6-1. He and Spencer Turner defeated the Tigers 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. The next day, Van Duijn won 7-5, 6-1 over Belhaven and posted an 8-5 win in doubles. Van Duijan owns a 10-6 singles record and a 12-5 doubles record.

Van Duijn will lead the Eagles into the ASC Championship Tournament May 3-5.
