New Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Dedicated

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center October 27.

Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Saturday, October 27.

The ceremony was part of the University's Homecoming 2018.

The multi-million dollar Tennis Center includes eight LED lighted courts and PlaySight's renowned smart court teaching technology. The facility was made possible by a gift from Dr. Judy Alexander-Boreham of Fort Smith, Ark., a former provost at the University who also previously served as chair of the University's Board of Trustees.

"This gift is transformative for our tennis program and our community," said Athletics Director Jimmy Clark.  "It is one of the finest tennis facilities in Arkansas and in all of NCAA Division III. It is awesome for recruiting. And, this opens up opportunities for our campus to host championship-type competitions."

Along with serving the U of O tennis programs, Clarksville High School will host its home matches at the Tennis Center. Community members are also invited to use the facility at designated hours.
