The American Southwest Conference women's and men's cross country championships will be held this Saturday, October 27, in Abilene, Texas. The Eagles had a strong showing last season and now enter the championships under new head coach Heidi Pinkerton. In the 2017 women's race, Hannah Smith finished 11th overall running a 24:46.3. Smith earned All-Conference Second Team honors for her performance. The women's team finished seventh as a team. On the men's side, Nathan Rankin won the ASC title running a 26:41.6. Michael Harris placed second overall with a time of 26:47.6. The men's team placed fifth overall as a team.

- The ACU Cross Country Course is located Southeast of Abilene Christian University on E N 10th Street, just west of Loop 322. Parking is located inside the gate, immediately to the east in the open field.
ASC CHAMPIONSHIPS, PET POLICY: Per American Southwest Conference policy, pets -- leashed or unleashed -- are prohibited at all ASC championship events. Only certified service animals that are marked, properly trained and leashed are permitted at events
