Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks softball players Brooke Hoffsommer, Abby Mork, Hannah Oler, Hailey Ostrander and Katie Ventress were named All-Conference by the American Southwest Conference, it was announced Monday, May 7.

Oler, a senior utility player from Needville, Texas, and Mork, a junior pitcher from Aurora, Colo., made the All-Conference Third Team. Hoffsommer, a senior outfielder from Alma, Ark., Ostrander, a junior shortstop from Alma, Ark., and Ventress, a senior designated player from Oklahoma City, Okla., made the Honorable Mention Team.

Oler hit .314 at the plate and threw a team-best 68.0 innings in the circle. She had six doubles, second-most on the team, and had two home runs while driving in 13. She totaled 22 hits and scored 14 runs while owning a .486 slugging percentage and a .410 on-base percentage. She had a pair of three-hit games during the 2018 season. As a pitcher, she tossed seven complete games and won four games. She struck out 28 batters in 18 appearances. She had four strikeouts in her first outing of the season against Texas A&M-Texarkana. She ranks second all-time at Ozarks in career home runs (11). She is seventh all-time in career RBI (55). In the circle, she ranks among the top-5 in games started, complete games, shutouts, appearances and innings pitched. Oler finishes her career as a four-time All-Conference performer.

Mork, a right-handed pitcher, threw 50.2 innings and started in nine games. She posted two wins in 12 appearances and struck out 24. She had back-to-back five-strikeout performances against Texas Dallas. In six innings of work against Howard Payne University, she threw a shutout and struck out three.

Hoffsommer led the team with 18 runs, while driving in 11 runs behind two home runs and six doubles. She also led the team with nine hit by pitches. She had four stolen bases and one triple. She had a pair of hits on two occasions and drove in two runs once. She is the career leader at Ozarks in most hit by pitches (27). She ranks among the top-10 in career runs, career doubles and career RBI. She ends her career as a three-time All-Conference player.

Ostrander finished second on the team in batting (.321) and hits (26), while driving in 12 runs and recording four doubles. She led the team with seven stolen bases. She owned a .407 slugging percentage. She had six multiple-hit games, including a 4-for-4 performance against Howard Payne that saw her homer. In a three-game series against Howard Payne, she went 10-for-12 with four RBI. She had four hits and scored three times against McMurry.   

Ventress led the team in batting (.371), hits (33), total bases (46), RBI (18), slugging percentage (.517), doubles (7) and on-base percentage (.420). She ranked among the ASC's top-15 in batting average. She had ten multiple-hit games and drove in multiple runs four different times. She went 3-for-4 with three RBI against McMurry and hit a grand slam against Hardin-Simmons. She had a pair of doubles against LeTourneau. She went 3-for-3 against two opponents. In the circle, she tossed 48.0 innings and struck out 23, while posting four wins. She ranks in the top-10 at Ozarks in career batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and home runs. She earned All-Conference in both of her seasons at Ozarks.

In 2018, the Eagles qualified for the ASC Championship Tournament for the first time in program history.
