Elisa Cantu had five hits in today's double-header against Hardin-Simmons.

GAME ONE

Overview: 
Hardin-Simmons University broke open a 1-1 tie in the third inning with seven runs en route to a 10-2 run-rule win Friday in game one. Brittney Dean doubled in a run in the first to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Hardin-Simmons evened the score in the second and then exploded for seven runs behind two home runs in the third to put the game out of reach. Elisa Cantu went 2-for-3 to lead the Eagles at the plate.

Notables: 
Elisa Cantu had a pair of hits in the game. Cantu is hitting .455 on the season.

GAME TWO
Overview: 
The Eagles hung tough in game two only to have Hardin-Simmons break a 5-5 tie in the sixth inning to finish with a 9-5 win. The Eagles held a 2-1 lead after two innings behind Cantu's two-run double. The Cowgirls responded with a run in the top of the third to even the game 2-2. Hardin-Simmons then took a 5-2 advantage in the top half of the fifth. But the Eagles countered with three runs in the bottom half to again tie the score. It was all Riki Haase in the fifth as she blasted a three-run homer. Hardin-Simmons, however, plated four runs in the sixth to take the lead for good. Cantu, Codi Shannon and Megan Madden each had three hits. Cantu had two RBI while Haase had three.
