GAME ONE

Overview: 
Hardin-Simmons University exploded for 16 runs in the first inning and never looked back taking a 20-0 win in game one. The Cowgirls limited the Eagles to one hit on the day. The Cowgirls hammered out six home runs.

GAME TWO
Overview: 
The Eagles and Cowgirls remained tied through four complete innings before the visitors scored a decisive three runs in the sixth inning to finish game two with a 7-4 win. Hardin-Simmons scored three times in the first inning, but the Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom of the second. Megan Madden and Elisa Cantu had RBI in the frame. The Eagles tied the game 3-3 in the fourth on a Brittney Dean RBI single. Trailing 7-3 heading into the final inning, the Eagles mounted a rally in the bottom of the seventh. Sydney Key doubled, Jaela Martin singled and Britney Kirk grounded out to bring in Key. With two outs, Megan Madden singled to put the tying run at the plate. However, the Cowgirls were able to get the final out on the next Ozarks' at-bat. Madden went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Key and Dean had two hits.

Megan Madden had her second three-hit game of the series.
Sydney Key had hits in each of the Eagles' game against Hardin-Simmons and now owns a five-game hit streak.

The Eagles will travel to Alpine, Texas, to face Sul Ross State University in a three-game series March 6-7.
