Softball Teams Splits With Central Baptist College

The Eagles took on Central Baptist College Tuesday in Conway.

GAME ONE
Overview:
Central Baptist College took a 11-3 run-rule win in five innings. The Mustangs were consistent on offense scoring runs in each inning. Their highest output came in the first and the fifth when they scored three. In the third, Allyson Fultz blasted a two-run homer. Blaise English had an RBI single in the fifth.

GAME TWO
Overview:
The Eagles headed into the seventh inning leading 10-6 and held off the Mustangs to win 10-7 behind an explosive sixth inning. The Eagles were trailing 5-1, but recorded eight hits and scored nine runs in the top of the sixth to take control of the game. Fultz helped her own cause as she had a two-run double to start things. English cranked out a three-run homer and Reese Ramirez later followed with an RBI single. Brittney Dean had a two-run single to continue the scoring and Fultz eventually walked in a run. From there, Central Baptist hit a pair of home runs to make it closer, but the Mustangs couldn't fully recover. Fultz and English drove in three runs while Dean and Riki Haase had two-hit games. Fultz posted the win after tossing a complete game. She walked just one.
