THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas-The Eagles outscored Hardin-Simmons 11-6 in overtime to fuel a 68-63 win while collecting their first conference victory Monday night. Hardin-Simmons would miss a free throw with nine seconds left in regulation to give the Eagles the last possession. Diamond Goodwyn powered her way to 19 points and 11 rebounds in the game. Savannah Kate Smith poured in 17 points and dished out six assists. Destinee Manning blocked five shots.
