THE BASICS
After a back-and-forth first quarter, East Texas Baptist University held the Eagles to five points in the second quarter to finish with a 77-52 win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play. The Eagles trailed 21-17 after the first quarter, but went cold in the next ten minutes of play hitting only two field goals. From there, the Tigers didn't let the Eagles back into the game and controlled the boards pulling down 45 in the game. The Tigers also took advantage from long range hitting 11 three-pointers on 25 attempts. Stevie Perkins came off the bench to score 10 points to lead the team in scoring.
