Women's Basketball Has Second Straight Tough Ending

Kerigan Bradshaw scoured 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in an overtime loss against Louisiana College.

THE BASICS
The Eagles opened the game strong but couldn't hold onto the lead as Louisiana College came back to pull out a 84-75 overtime win Saturday. The Eagles held a 34-25 halftime lead and then maintained the lead in the second half only to see the Wildcats storm back in the fourth quarter. The Eagles appeared to be headed to the victory leading 67-61 with less than two minutes remaining. However, the Wildcats drilled a three-pointer at the 1:15 mark and later followed with two free throws with 44 seconds left. A Stevie Perkins free throw with eight second remaining put the Eagles in front 68-66. But the Wildcats hit a clutch shot with one second remaining to send the game into overtime. Louisiana College outscored the Eagles 16-7 in overtime. Kelsey Dixson and Kerigan Bradshaw posted double-doubles for the second straight game. Dixson scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Bradshaw scored 18 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
