THE BASIC
Memphis, Tenn. – Rhodes College answered every Eagles run in the fourth quarter to secure a 74-64 win Wednesday night. The Eagles had to fight back from a 14-6 first quarter deficit and pulled within 29-20 at halftime. In the fourth quarter, Brittany Temple nailed a clutch three-pointer to pull the Eagles within 63-55. Two free throws by Stevie Perkins made it 63-57 with 3:23 remaining. Perkins hit a step back jumper to make it 63-59.  Rhodes answered with a three-pointer at the 2:18 mark. Janna Rhinehart nailed a shot from long distance to make it 66-62. But Rhodes came right back and answered again with a bucket. Rhodes pulled down 41 defensive rebounds in the game to limit second chance points for the Eagles. Perkins led the Eagles with 22 points.
