THE BASIC
Austin, Texas – The Eagles scored 24 points in the third quarter to overcome a halftime deficit and Chanel Kattich scored 18 points, grabbed ten rebounds and dished out five assists in a 65-55 win against Concordia University Texas Thursday. Trailing by one point heading into the second half, Kattich and Stevie Perkins combined to score six straight points to open the third quarter. But it was the final four minutes of the quarter that the Eagles established momentum. The Eagles outscored the Tornados 14-5 in the final four minutes to claim a 47-36 lead. The Eagles never lost the lead in the fourth quarter. The Eagles hit all 12 of their free attempts in the game. The Eagles were effective on the inside scoring 42 points in the paint. Stevie Perkins added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
