THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark.– For the second straight game, the Eagles were narrowly edged by an American Southwest Conference opponent at home as Concordia University Texas posted a 61-57 win Saturday. The two teams were knotted up 28-28 at halftime, but Concordia came out in the third quarter to gain a 47-41 lead. The Tornados pulled away for a 53-43 lead in the fourth quarter before the Eagles responded with a run. Morgan Douglas drilled a three-pointer and Faith Curry hit a pair of free throws to pull the Eagles within 53-50. Curry and Stevie Perkins hit free throws that made it 56-55. But the Tornados drilled a three-pointer with 1:05 left to increase their lead to 59-55. Kerigan Bradshaw hit two free throws to make it 59-57 with 50 seconds left. But that would be the final points for the Eagles. Bradshaw posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
