THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark.– The Eagles fourth quarter rally came up short as McMurry University found a way to pull off the upset, 59-52, Tuesday night. It was the first conference win for the War Hawks. McMurry held a 28-26 halftime advantage, but extended the lead to 41-32 after the Eagles went cold from the field. The Eagles were stuck on 32 points for over five minutes. Trailing 44-36, the Eagles surged in the fourth quarter and brought it to 50-48 on Brittany Temple's three-pointer. With 2:09 remaining, Stevie Perkins cut the lead to 51-50, but McMurry eventually went ahead 56-50 with under a minute to go. Kerigan Bradshaw and McKenzie Greeson led the Eagles with 11 points. The Eagles hit only 17-of-56 (30.4%) from the floor.
