THE BASICS
Marshall, Texas – No. 22 East Texas Baptist University used a big second quarter to upend the Eagles 69-46 Thursday in Texas. The Tigers led 19-11 after one quarter of play, but exploded for 30 points in the second quarter to take control of the game. The Tigers led 49-24 at halftime and never let the Eagles back into the game. The Eagles had a tough night shooting the ball hitting only 14-of-54 (25%) from the field. The Tigers controlled the boards hauling in 55 on the night. Ganae Gaines came off the bench to lead the Eagles in scoring with 12 points.
