THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – In a back-and-forth game the entire night, Texas Dallas eventually pulled away for a narrow 57-53 win behind a strong fourth quarter Thursday night. The Comets held a 25-24 lead at halftime, but the Eagles had a big third quarter to gain an advantage. The Eagles outscored the Comets 21-14 to hold a 45-39 lead heading into the final quarter. The Comets opened the fourth quarter on a 10-0 run. Kerigan Bradshaw drilled a three-pointer with five minutes left to put the Eagles in front 50-49. The Comets scored on their next possession and never gave up the lead again. The Eagles' defense clamped down on the Comets holding the visiting team to 36 percent shooting from the field. Bradshaw led the Eagles with 20 points. She hit 4-of-8 from the three-point line.
