Dubuque, Iowa- University of the Ozarks sophomore wrestler Ny'Trell Dean made history Saturday when he became the program's first-ever winner at an NCAA III Regional.
Ozarks, in its third year of competing, made significant improvement from a year ago in the toughest region in NCAA III. Dean, in the 141-pound division, won his first round match with a pin fall in :46 over Augustana.
The Eagles finished 12th as a team, its best finish in the NCAA III regional. Ozarks posted 12 points.
Also posting wins were Devon Jackson (125), Joey Schneck (174) and Adolfo Sotolongo (197).
