Dubuque, Iowa-The University of the Ozarks made history at the NCAA III Regional as two wrestlers - Devon Jackson and Nathaneal Rankin - advanced to the National Championships March 9-10 in Cleveland, Ohio. In the third place match, Jackson won by decision over Brock Henderson from Coe College (Dec 9-8) and Rankin won by decision over Michael Triplett from Loras College (Dec 9-8). It is the first time in program history Ozarks has had wrestlers qualify for the National Championships. Ozarks finished eighth as a team, four places higher than a year ago. The Eagles had five wrestlers compete on Sunday, with Jackson (125) and Rankin (133) placing third in their weight class, giving them an automatic bid to the National Championships. Only the top-3 finishers in each weight division move on. Mario Vasquez (141), Jacob Sherrill (174) and Adolfo Sotolongo (285) also competed in Sunday's competition.
