Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks wrestling program will aim for even more history this weekend at the NCAA Division III Championships. The Eagles had its first-ever national qualifiers and are now focused on winning its first match in the national arena. The National Championships will take place Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10, at the Cleveland Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio hosted by Baldwin Wallace. At the national championships, Jackson will face Carlos Fuentez from Wheaton (Ill.), who has posted a 34-2 record this season, in his first match. In Rankin's first match, the freshman will face Ricky Cavallo from Johns Hopkins, who owns a 29-6 record. Jackson comes into his fight with a 25-8 record, while Rankin has a 27-3 mark. Under second-year head coach LeRoy Gardner, the wrestling program has quickly developed into a contender in just its fourth year of existence.
