ON THE MAT
The Eagles traveled to Nebraska for three matches and came out with an impressive 36-14 win over host Nebraska Wesleyan University. The Eagles won six of their first seven matches against NWU, including Nathaneal Rankin (133, Fall 3:29), Stephen Fox (141, Dec 6-5), Jaylen York (141, TF 22-6 6:17), Ny'Trell Dean (157, Fall 0:55), Jacob Sherrill (165, forfeit) and Siaygnoun Nhamnhouane (174, MD 19-8). Jerhett Lee (285) completed the match with a win over Justin Hennessy (Fall 2:19). Later in the day, the Eagles fell to Buena Vista (38-14) and Wisconsin-Eau Claire (46-9). Against Buena Vista, Corey Muniz won against Byron Fleming (MD 16-6) and Rankin topped Nate Vento (Fall 3:00). Lee posted a win over Kevin Pape (MD 13-2). Against Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Rankin had a win over Jack Marley (Dec 13-12) and Muniz defeated Thomas Severson (Fall 2:20).
