REVIEW: After dropping his first match to No. 1 seed James Bethel from SUNY Oneonta, Jerhett Lee came back with a win over Wade Ripple from Wabash, but then his season ended with a loss against Jake O'Brien from Ithaca Friday night. Lee's consolation win came as a result of a fall against Ripple in the second period. Wrestling in the 285 class, Lee went 1-2 at the National Championships. O'Brien topped Lee by decision (8-1). Lee ends the season with All-American Scholar-Athlete accolades and had 30-plus wins.

Head Coach LeRoy Gardner Quote:
"This tournament requires our best each time we step on the line. It's about out-fighting our opponents and wrestling every position. Jerhett did a good job of battling in his first consolation match to advance. His first round he had a very good, well coached and experienced opponent, but that is why it is so important to qualify for nationals. We want to beat the best."

The National Championships are taking place Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9, in Roanoke, Virginia. It is hosted by Ferrum College. Under third-year head coach LeRoy Gardner, the wrestling program has had three wrestlers qualify for Nationals.
