Women’s Soccer Team Falls To East Texas Baptist

Clarksville, Ark.-The East Texas Baptist University women's soccer team scored a goal in each half to pull out a 2-0 American Southwest Conference victory over Ozarks Thursday afternoon.

East Texas Baptist (2-6-0, 2-1-0 ASC) netted a goal in the 38th minute to hold a 1-0 halftime advantage.  Heather Brady was able to find the back of the net from 10 yards out. Ozarks (2-6-2, 1-2-0 ASC) took four shots in the first half, but couldn't connect for a goal. In the second half, Megan Bradford made a big save in the 67th minute to keep the Tigers from scoring. However, Brady struck again in the 82nd minute to push the lead to 2-0. From there, Ozarks couldn't generate any shots to climb back into the match.

Ozarks will host LeTourneau University Saturday in conference play at 12:30 p.m. The match has been designated as "Soccer Bash 2015" with the community invited to the match for free lunch, games and prizes sponsored by Arvest Bank, Clarksville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce and U of O.
