Women’s Soccer Team Headed To Playoffs Despite Loss

Belton, Texas-The women's soccer team had its three-game win streak snapped with a 4-0 setback against Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Despite the loss, Ozarks (5-10-2) advances to the ASC Championship Tournament for the first time in program history. Under Head Coach Natalie Dryer, the Eagles posted a 4-5-0 conference record to earn a spot in the eight-team playoff. The full bracket and seedings will be released Saturday night by the ASC office.

Against Mary Hardin-Baylor (11-3-1, 8-1-0 ASC), Ozarks allowed a goal just minutes before halftime to trail 1-0. In the second half, Mary Hardin-Baylor scored again in the 73rd minute and added two more in the final six minutes of the match. Mary Hardin-Baylor posted 15 shots in the match.
