Texas-Tyler Women’s Soccer Team Escapes With Overtime Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer held the lead for nearly 89 minutes until Texas-Tyler scored the equalizer with 1:10 remaining in the match and then posted the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute to pull out a 2-1 American Southwest Conference win Saturday.

Tiffany Robinson's beautiful free kick from 30 yards out landed in the back of the net in the 7th  minute to move the Eagles (4-7-1, 2-3-1 ASC) in front 1-0. Ozarks then held that advantage for the next 82 minutes until Texas-Tyler's Vanessa Rangel spoiled the outcome. Rangel rebounded her own shot and buried it to even the match 1-1. From there, neither team scored in the first overtime, but Texas-Tyler (7-2-0, 5-1-0 ASC) ended the match in the 103rd minute on a goal from Mariah Harmon.

Ozarks will host Louisiana College October 13 and Belhaven October 15. The match against Belhaven will be Homecoming for the campus.
