Women’s Soccer Nets 1-1 Tie Against Texas Dallas

Richardson, Texas-The women's soccer team netted a 1-1 overtime tie against Texas Dallas Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

The Eagles (6-8-2, 3-4-2 ASC) took a 1-0 lead early in the first half when Brittanie Gragg hit a ball over Comets goalkeeper Kristi Istre in the 9th minute. Frances Adams delivered the assist. Holding a 1-0 lead, Ozarks went into halftime with the advantage behind Kiara Henry's three saves.  Ozarks held the lead for most of the second half until the Comets (9-6-1, 6-3-1 ASC) scored the equalizer in the 84th minute. From there, neither team could score the rest of the match and overtime. The Comets recorded 33 shots, while Ozarks had 11 in the match. Ozarks posted five shots on goal. Henry finished with seven saves.

Ozarks will host Mary Hardin-Baylor October 27 and Concordia University Texas October 29.
