Mary Hardin-Baylor Women’s Soccer Team Tops Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark.-Mary Hardin-Baylor scored a goal in each half to secure a 2-0 victory over the women's soccer team Thursday in American Southwest Conference play.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (12-3-1, 9-1-0 ASC) scored in the 22nd minute for the match's first goal. Holding possession most of the first half, the Crusaders fired off 11 shots. The Eagles (6-9-2, 3-5-2 ASC) also gave up four corner kicks in the first half. The Crusaders added another goal in the 60th minute to mount pressure on the Eagles. Ozarks was unable to produce a goal creating only one shot in the second half.

Ozarks will end the regular season this Saturday at home against Concordia University Texas. Saturday's match will also serve as "Senior Day" for the women's and men's soccer programs. A ceremony will be held following the women's match.
