Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team had six players receive All-Conference honors from the American Southwest Conference, the league office announced Monday, November 6.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kiara Henry was named to the All-ASC Second Team, freshman midfielder Rebecca Peterson was named to the All-ASC Third Team, and junior defender Chance Koy, freshman defender Joey Long, senior forward Brittanie Gragg and junior midfielder Georgia Warren received Honorable Mention All-ASC.
Henry, a native of Rogers, Ark., ranked in the ASC's top-10 in saves (95), saves per game (5.59), goals against average (1.99), saves percentage (.742) and shutouts (4). Henry started in 16 matches and owned a 7-9-1 record with four shutouts. She was named ASC Defensive Player of the Week once after posting a pair of shutout wins the final weekend of the regular season. She recorded ten saves in back-to-back matches and then had 11 saves in a match against Sul Ross State. She was named Honorable Mention last season.
Peterson, a native of Coweta, Okla., started in all 17 matches for Ozarks and led the team in assists with five. Peterson had two assists in a win over Centenary College. She also had an assist in a win over Williams Baptist. Peterson tied for second on the team in shots with 30. She had four shots in three different matches.
Koy, a native of Haltom City, Texas, started in 15 matches in the backline for Ozarks. Koy's defensive play helped Ozarks post four shutouts. She scored a goal against Louisiana College. She is a three-time All-Conference performer.
Long, a native of Cabot, Ark., played in 13 matches with 11 starts. Long had two shots on frame during the 2017 season and was a strong defender in the back.
Gragg, a native of Huntsville, Ark., had another standout season for Ozarks and finishes her career ranked among the top players in program history. She played in 15 matches and led the team with seven goals and 15 points. She also had a team-high 34 shots. She scored four goals in her first three matches, including a two-goal effort against Williams Baptist. She would record a season-high five shots against Louisiana College and had four shots against three other opponents. She ranks second in program history with 24 career goals. She is fifth in career points with 51 and fourth in career shots with 129. She is second all-time with five game-winning goals.
Warren, a native of Wexford, Ireland, started in all 17 matches and led the team with two game-winning goals. Warren ranked second on the team in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14). She tied for second on the team with 30 shots. She scored a pair of goals against Centenary and had three assists against Lyon College. She took a season-high six shots against Sul Ross State.
Ozarks posted a 7-9-1 record, the second-most wins in program history.
