THE BASICS
UT Dallas overcame a 1-0 deficit to upend the Eagles 2-1 Friday in American Southwest Conference. The Eagles appeared to have the match in hand, but let it slip away as the Comets scored twice in the final 20 minutes of play. After a scoreless first half, Rebecca Peterson scored in the 56th minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage. In the second half, the Comets began to penetrate the Eagles' defense and took eight shots. Eventually, the Comets broke through with a goal in the 72nd minute. The Comets then scored the game-winner in the 84th minute.
