THE BASICS
The Eagles came out with a narrow 1-0 setback against University of Dallas Sunday afternoon. It was the Eagles final non-conference match before beginning American Southwest Conference play next week. The Crusaders had a strong first half recording nine shots only to have goalkeeper Sydney Frazier keep the match scoreless. The Crusaders continued to build in the first half creating numerous chances to score, but perhaps the best scoring chance came from the Eagles. Jessica Alvarado hit one off the post with about ten minutes remaining in the first half. Alvarado's shot came from about 25 yards out just missing as the fortunate Crusaders kept the match scoreless. In the second half, the Crusaders scored the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute on a break-away.
