Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's swim teams hosted NCAA II Henderson State University Saturday in its final home meet of the 2016-2017 season.
Henderson State took wins in both the women (141-56) and the men (82-38). Chloe Welsh, who was honored Saturday as part of "Senior Day," finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 46:57. Arielle Burfine placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:09.34. Burfine would finish third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 30.45. Welsh placed third in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:40.32.
Jake Sawyer recorded the win in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.87. Sawyer placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.74.
Ozarks will compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships February 8-11 in Lewisville, Texas.
