Henderson State Nabs Win Over Women's Swim Team On Senior Day

Kaitlyn Henrietta swims her final race at home on Senior Day.

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's swim team was upended by Henderson State University 133-72 Saturday.

Paige Vire won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.51. While Vire was the only winner of the day, the Eagles had numerous events in which they finished second. Kaitlyn Henrietta was second in the 200 free with a time of 2:14.49. Shalley Coffin was second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:15.34. Paige Vire was narrowly edged in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 32.75. Catherine Wellborn was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:11.75. Henrietta was edged out in the 100 free with a time of 59.98. Henrietta placed second in the 50 butterfly with a time of 30.42. In the 50 free, Henrietta was second with a time of 27.60. Coffin was second in the 500 free with a time of 6:08.96.

Seniors Kaitlyn Henrietta, Brenda Sandoval and Jacob Toland were honored as part of Senior Day.

The Eagles will now prepare for the SCAC Championships in San Antonio February 13-16.
