Henrietta, Toland Named SCAC Swimmers of the Week

Kaitlyn Henrietta and Jacob Toland were named SCAC Swimmers of the Week.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks seniors Kaitlyn Henrietta and Jacob Toland were named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Swimmers of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday (Feb. 5).  

Toland, from North Little Rock, Ark., was stellar in the pool over the weekend, picking up two victories for the Eagles in their senior day dual against Henderson State and breaking a pair of school records in the process. The veteran opened the meet by leading-off the winning 200 medley relay with a 26.65 split. Individually, Toland earned a victory in the 100 back completing the race in a career-best and program record time 57.89. Toland also claimed another school record in the 100 IM finishing in 59.47. In the Eagles' dual with Williams Baptist on Friday, Toland took the 200 free in 1:55.67. 

Henrietta, from Aledo, Texas, was a triple-winner on Friday, setting the program record in the 200 back with a winning time of 2:36.86 as well as earning victories in the 100 fly (1:13.53) and 200 back (2:36.86). On Saturday, Henrietta competed in six events in the Eagles' senior day dual with Henderson State, taking second-place finishes in all events and claiming program records in the 200 (2:14.49) and 100 free (59.98), respectively. Individually, Henrietta also competed in the 50 fly (30.42) and 50 free (27.60) and was a member of the 200 medley and free relays which finished in 2:10.15 and 1:56.58, respectively.

The Eagles will compete in the SCAC Championships in San Antonio February 13-16.         

Ozarks joins Austin College, Centenary College, Colorado College, McMurry University, Southwestern University and Trinity University as swimming members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
