Swim Teams Show Improvement At SCAC Championships

Both the women's and men's swim teams finished 6th at the SCAC Championships.

San Antonio, Texas-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's swim teams wrapped up competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday and improved one spot from a year ago.

Jacob Jones received All-Conference honors for his performance in the 1650 free. Jones swam a 16:51.83 for third place. Jacob Toland was fifth in the event swimming a 16:59.54. Jones palced 11th in the 100 free with a time of 47.89. Josh Collins was 18th with a time of 49.77. Paige Vire was ninth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:36.31. The Eagles finished the 2018-2019 season improving one spot to sixth place at the SCAC Championships.

On the women's side, 17 program records were broken. On the men's side, 15 program records were broken.
