Hendrix Women's Swim And Dive Pull Away

The Eagles competed against Hendrix College Friday night and fell 147-84.

Clarksville, Ark..-The women's swim and dive team hung tough with Hendrix College until the Warriors eventually pulled away for a 147-84 win over the Eagles Friday night.

The Eagles had several strong performances on the night. The relay team of Rosie Wade, Paige Vire, Catherine Wellborn and Antalya Meals placed first in the 200 medley. The group sawm a 2:01.64. Shalley Coffin was second in the 1000 free with a time of 12:32.63. Arianna Rosario won the 200 free with a time of 2:12.17. Meals placed second in the 50 free with a 26.58. Wellborn followed with a 27.36. Wade won the 400 IM with a school record time of 4:58.19.  Meals placed second in the 100 free with a time of 58.18. Wade won the 200 back with a time of 2:20.43. Vire placed second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:44.46. 

In diving, Dawn Hampton placed second in the one-meter five dive set with 119.20 points. Hampton also placed second in the one-meter six-dive set with 166.50 points.

The Eagles will now prepare for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in San Antonio February 11-13.
