Women's Swim And Dive Team Finishes Sixth At SCAC Championships

San Antonio, Texas-The women's swim and dive team wrapped up competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in San Antonio Saturday and finished sixth overall.  

That will end the season for the Eagles.

In the 1650, Rosie Wade placed sixth with a time of 19:06.53. In the 200 back, Natalie Naramore placed 18th with a time of 2:35.27. In the 100 free, Catherine Wellborn swam a 58.56 for 17th place. Antalya Meals placed 19th posting a time of 59.37. Isabella Hernandez swam a 1:36.47 for 25th place, Amanda Briggs swam a 1:36.79 for 26th place and Kenia Roa Reyes swam a 1:37.96 for 27th place. In the 200 breaststroke, Paige Vire finished tenth with a time of 2:42.69. Skylar Frazier swam a 2:54.96 for 13th place, Naramore swam a 2:58.91 for 14th place and Kylee Booher swam a 3:14.76 for 17th place. In the 200 fly, Wade posted a time of 2:26.29 for ninth place. Emily Spillers swam a 2:35.17 for 11th place. In the 400 free relay, Wade, Meals, Wellborn and Coffin swam a 3:54.66 for sixth place. Vire, Spillers, Frazier and Naramore swam a 4:20.99 for 14th place. 

At the end of the Championships, the Eagles broke several school records. The 400 free relay group of Wade, Meals, Wellborn and Coffin now own the school record (3:54.66). Wade broke her own 100 free school record leading off that relay. The Eagles set the school record in the 200 free relay (1:46.49). That group consisted of Wade, Wellborn, Coffin and Meals. A new school record was set in the 800 free relay (8:44.45). The group consisted of Wade, Wellborn, Spillers and Coffin.
