Tennis Athletes Achieve ITA Academic Honors; Women’s Program Garners Team Award

Clarksville, Ark.-Six members of the University of the Ozarks men's and women's tennis teams received academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), it was announced by college tennis' governing body.

On the women's side, Olivia Allard, Maggie Johnson and Madison Sieber earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. The women's team also received the team academic award for maintaining a combined grade point average (GPA) above 3.20. The Eagles posted a 3.47 GPA as a group.

On the men's side, Cole Lankford, Dillon Murray and Walker Murray received the Scholar-Athlete award.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a letterwinner, maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and have been enrolled at their present school at least two semesters.

On the court, the women's and men's teams have qualified for the American Southwest Conference playoffs back-to-back seasons.
