2018 Spring Women's Tennis Preview

2018 Spring Women's Tennis Preview

The 2018 University of the Ozarks women's tennis team will be pursuing its third straight American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament appearance under the leadership of new head coach Jeff Kutac. New faces dot the women's roster this season. But the youthfulness hasn't kept the women's team from playing and training hard, according to Kutac. Ozarks does return junior Imani Doyle and sophomores Karlee Hart and Kirsten Endicott, but the rest of the roster includes freshmen. Hart posted six singles wins last season. The veteran Kutac will have the luxury of coaching at the new multi-million dollar Tennis Center expected to open later in the season. The facility will among the best in NCAA Division III and includes PlaySight technology.

"We have a young women's squad. We had a solid fall. The team really came together and developed. They have good energy and are working to get better individually and as a group. We play four matches in three days to open the season so that will be a great opportunity to start playing collegiate tennis."
