ITA Releases Academic Awards

12 members of the University of the Ozarks women's and men?s tennis teams received academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), it was announced by college tennis' governing body July 29.

Clarksville, Ark.-12 members of the University of the Ozarks women's and men's tennis teams received academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), it was announced by college tennis' governing body July 29.

On the women's side, Alexandria Corona, Skylar Frazier, Angelica Garcia, Karlee Hart, Anna Claire Ryan and Lea Terrell earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Additionally, the women's program earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award for posting a team grade point average above 3.20.

On the men's side, Angelo Ito Tost, Cole LankfordJonah Martinez, Parker Morey, Walker Murray and Derek Nix received the Scholar-Athlete award. 
    
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a letterwinner, maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and have been enrolled at their present school at least two semesters.
