Fayetteville, Ark.- The women's cross country competed against more than 60 teams from across the region in the 5K Chile Pepper Festival Saturday morning in Fayetteville.
    
Ozarks finished 38^th in the Division II category. Ozarks top runner was Hannah Smith, who finished 190^th with a time of 21:28.88. Caitlyn Bell followed with a time of 21:44.56 for a 202^nd place finish. Madison Sherrer was 221^st with a time of 22:39.99. Stephanie Alderson was 236^th with a time of 23:57.56 and Jacquelyn Vaden posted a time of 23:58.62 for 238^th place. There were 254 runners in the Division II race.

Ozarks will host the University of the Ozarks Invitational October 8.
