ASC All-Academic Team Announced

The Lady Eagles tennis team placed five players on the academic squad: sophomore music education major Karie Allen from Kooskia, Idaho; junior biology major Mandy Hock from Rowlett, Texas; senior general studies major Kim Jacky from Salt Lake City, Utah; senior english major Holly Rexroat from Gordon, Texas; and senior communications major Julie Richardson from Lindale, Texas. The men's tennis team placed three players on the squad: sophomore history major Dan Benton from Booneville; senior marketing/business major Cesar Herrera from Panama City, Panama; and senior mathematics major John Manning from Midland, Texas. The baseball team had two players on the squad: junior kinesiology major Cliff Ford from Lindale, Texas and Clint Phifer, a sophomore mathematics major from Benton. John White, a senior mathematics major from Mt. Ida and a member of the golf team, and Amie Jondro, a sophomore environmental studies major from Benton and a member the women's softball team, were also named to the squad. Student-athletes eligible for ASC Academic All-Conference honors are 2003 season letter winners who have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests, are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or better.
