Kyle Hudson Named Pitcher of the Week

Hudson, a 5-11, 160-pound right-hander from Clarksville, pitched 4.2 innings and struck out three and allowed only three hits while picking up a save in a pair of appearances during the three-game series at Mary Hardin-Baylor. Hudson faced 19 batters during the last two games of the weekend series, walking only one in the two Eagles' wins. Hudson (3-0) was a key performer in Ozarks 5-4 win on Sunday, teaming up with T.J. Eason to hold the Crusaders scoreless in the final five innings of play. Hudson has proven to be team's top relief pitcher leading the squad in wins (3), innings pitched (23.0), strikeouts (16) and ERA (1.17). He is holding opposing batters to a .253 batting average. A 2003 graduate of Clarksville High School, Hudson earned All-State, All-Region, All-District and Southwest Times Record All-Area Team honors last season.
