The Eagles (12-14, 2-7) went scoreless through six innings of play before scoring all six of their runs in the final three innings. Hendrix (2-13) held a 6-0 advantage after six innings thanks to a two-run fourth and a three-run fifth. The Eagles slowly climbed back into the game in the seventh when Brett Hays and Justin Brown each recorded an RBI to make the score 6-2. Ozarks continued to make their push in the eighth when Anthony Brandon led off the inning with a single through the right side of the infield. Cliff Ford then drew a walk, putting Brandon in scoring position. Brian Heckmann later hit a single to load the bases for Todd Vandevoir. Vandevoir gave Ozarks their third run of the game when he walked in a run. Justin Brown then ripped a two out single to center field that scored Heckmann and Ford and cut the deficit to 7-5. Ozarks started the bottom of the ninth with back-to-back singles by Brandon and Ford. A Frankie Collazo sacrifice bunt advanced the runners a base for Heckmann. However, Heckmann's RBI ground out would be the final run for Ozarks. Ozarks out hit Hendrix 12-8 in the contest. Brown went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI to lead Ozarks. Trevor Holbert (0-1) received the loss after pitching two and two-third innings. Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist in a three-game series beginning with a nine-inning game on April 2 at 2 p.m. The series continues on April 3 with two seven-inning games starting at 12 p.m.
