<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks improves to 19-16 overall while Louisiana College falls to 20-15. The two teams are now tied in the divisional race with a 7-7 mark. Dixon (4-3) struck out seven in a 6-0 win, issuing only three walks to register his first shutout of the season. The Eagles' offense got behind the junior right-hander, using a big third inning that saw them score four runs. Andrew Teaster put the Eagles up 1-0 in the first when he singled in John Glenn. Ozarks had four hits, and took advantage of two Louisiana College errors to push their advantage to 5-1 in the third. Finnell knocked in a pair of runs in the frame. Meanwhile, Dixon cruised through the first four innings striking out five Wildcats. He did not give up a hit in his final three innings of work. Teaster went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jimmy Pannell and Finnell each had two RBI. Game two saw three Ozarks' pitchers allow only five hits in a 4-2 victory. Finnell logged six and one-third innings of work on the mound, giving up two earned runs and striking out two. D.J. Braswell came in for Finnell and went two and one-third innings, and did not allow a hit. John Scheuring followed Braswell on the mound for the final out of the game. With two outs and one man on, Scheuring walked his first batter, but got the second to groundout. It was Scheuring's fourth save of the season. Finnell, Glenn and Todd Koch each had an RBI in the game, with Ozarks scoring twice in the third to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Louisiana College would eventually cut the deficit to 4-2 in the top of the seventh on RBI by Hunter White and Bryan George. Glenn finished a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Finnell (4-2) received the win. The two teams will square off tomorrow in a nine-inning contest at 12:00 p.m.
