Koch, Teaster Garner ASC Player of the Week Honors

Koch, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound San Antonio, Texas native, earned Pitcher of the Week after pitching a no-hitter against Principia College in his season debut on February 10. The right-hander struck out nine and did not issue a walk, and only two base runners reached, over seven innings. Koch closed out the game striking out three of the final six batters he faced. Koch's feat was only the second of its kind in modern-day history for Ozarks. In 2005, he finished seventh in the conference in batting (.418) and third in on-base percentage (.523). He had a .623 slugging percentage while collecting 35 RBI and 6 home runs that year. He is a graduate of MacAurther High School.

Teaster, a 6-foot, 180-pound Hollister, Mo. native, earned Hitter of the Week after opening his Ozarks' career with a bang, going 9-for-10 in a three-game series sweep of Principia College over the weekend. The left-handed transfer hit two doubles, two triples and totaled three RBI during the three-game stretch. He went a perfect 4-for-4 in Saturday's second game and has gotten a hit in six straight at-bats. Teaster is a graduate of Hollister High School where he earned All-State, All-Conference and All-District. The Eagles are currently 3-2 overall.
