Ozarks Baseball Sweeps Schreiner

Senior starter Curt Dixon struck out six in five and one-third innings and Ozarks' offense provided 10 hits in a 4-2 win over Schreiner (1-7) in game one. 

Dixon (1-0) was credited with his first win of the season. Kyle Hudson received his third save of the season.

Holding a 3-2 lead after six, Todd Koch added an insurance run in the top of the seventh when he tripled in Bruce Cameron.
John Glenn, Cory Briggs, Todd Koch and Cameron all had two hits.

In game two, Ozarks' offense got 11 hits and scored ten runs through five innings to earn a 16-9 win. Holding a 2-0 lead after two innings of play, the Eagles rallied for three runs in the third. In the fifth, Ozarks (7-1) added three more runs, one coming from a Glenn RBI single and the other two on a Cameron single. With a 10-3 lead, the Eagles had another big inning in the top of the seventh. Briggs doubled in Glenn and David Smith. The highlight of the inning, however, was Robert Mummey's three-run homer to pad Ozarks' lead to 15-3. On the mound, starter Robby Finnell held the Mountaineers scoreless by forcing a number of groundouts through four innings. Finnell (2-0) received the win after going five and one-third innings. He had a pair of strikeouts and gave up two runs on just three hits. 

Mummey finished 3-for-4 with 5 RBI and three runs. Cameron and Koch each collected two hits.
