The honor comes the same week he was named American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week. Broussard, a Seguin, Texas, native finished 11-for-16 with one home run, three doubles and 13 RBI to lead the Eagles to a 5-0 week and their first ever national ranking. Broussard also scored 10 runs, walked once and recorded a steal on his only attempt. He had at least two hits in each of the games in Ozarks' ASC sweep of East Texas Baptist. He opened the week with a 4-for-5, 3-RBI performance against Eureka College on March 5. In a double-header on March 9, he went a combined 4-for-7 with 8 RBI. In 13 games, he is batting .429 with five doubles and 19 RBI.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball, and names Player of the Week honors throughout the collegiate season. 

#24 Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas this weekend in ASC play.
