Ozarks' (17-23) offense didn't help Conner much, as they stranded 11 runners in the game, including leaving the bases loaded three times. For the second straight game, Conner pitched well enough to get the win, tossing seven and two-third innings and striking out three. The game was scoreless through four innings, but the Eagles came through with a run in the top of the fifth on a Jeremy Hogan RBI single. Ozarks maintained a 1-0 advantage until the eighth when Arkansas Tech (20-29) scored three off of four hits. In the bottom of the eighth, Conner had two outs with a runner on third, but Josh Holloway singled up the middle to tie the contest 1-1. After another single, Bobby Osburn came in and promptly got Clint Stroud to hit a fly ball to center field, but Chris Driedric lost it in the lights and both runners scored. 

The Eagles had their chances to take control of the game. Ozarks loaded the bases in the first, fourth, fifth and ninth innings, but only produced one run. Ozarks made another run in the top of the ninth when Tad Turner led off with a walk and Jonathan Cox followed with a single. A sacrifice bunt by Driedric moved both into scoring position, but Tech ace Karl Whitley got a strikeout and then forced a grounder to end the game.

Conner fell to 2-2 on the year. The lefty scattered seven hits and was charged with two earned runs.

Ozarks totaled five hits.

Barrett Davis (3-3) received the win.

Ozarks will head to the American Southwest Conference playoffs this weekend to face Texas Lutheran University in a three-game series.
