Sports Information Office Receives CoSIDA Awards; Baseball Guide Tops In NCAA III

Ozarks' Sports Information Office received two awards in CoSIDA's media guide contest for the 2009-2010 athletic year. The baseball media guide ranked third in the "Division C" category and was the top NCAA III guide for the second straight year. The women's soccer media guide placed second, marking the third consecutive year it has been honored. The media guides were written and designed by Sports Information Director Josh Peppas. Assistant Sports Information Director Daniel Gallegos and student assistant Emalee Pearson served as assistant editors. Zach Doty provided action pictures as the department's chief photographer.

The guides were judged in the competition's "Division C" category, which includes media guides from NCAA Division III and NAIA member schools as well as junior colleges from across the United States. The Sports Information Office has earned a combined nine awards from CoSIDA the past three years.
