
Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks baseball team earned a twinbill split Friday afternoon against Augsburg College.
Ozarks (1-1) had to come from behind in a 10-9 game one win over the Auggies (1-1). Trailing 9-5 after five and one-half innings, the Eagles generated four runs in the bottom of the sixth to even the non-conference matchup 9-9. Peyton Johnigan recorded the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh.
Tony Morales went 4-for-4 with a homer and five RBI. Dean Igert and Taylor Parker had two hits apiece for Ozarks, which pounded out 11 total.
Bo Thomas (1-0) received the win in relief.
Augsburg turned the tables on Ozarks in game two winning 15-2. Augsburg took all the momentum in the fourth when it scored six runs.
Freddy Prince went 2-for-3 for Ozarks. Jeffery Works (0-1) took the loss as the starter.
Ozarks will host the Auggies in a nine-inning affair tomorrow at noon.
