Clarksville, Ark.-Ozarks picked up the third game of its series against Augsburg College with a 7-5 win Saturday.
After leading 7-3 after eight complete innings, Ozarks (2-1) needed to hold off Augsburg in the ninth inning to secure the game. Augsburg (1-2) posted two runs in the ninth and had a runner on second and third with two outs, but Andrew Beck went to the mound for the final out and promptly recorded a strikeout to end the contest. The Eagles owned a 2-0 advantage after two innings thanks to RBI from Peyton Johnigan and Dean Igert. Ozarks then moved in front 5-2 in the sixth after Alex Smith doubled in a run and Igert again ripped an RBI single. In the eighth, Beck and Smith had an RBI apiece.
Grady Finley (1-0) started on the mound and went six innings to receive the win. John Singler tossed two and two-third innings in relief. Beck received the save.
Igert, Freddy Prince and Taylor Parker each had two hits.
Ozarks will host Hendrix College February 18 at 1:30 pm.
